TV reception
 

In Esuri now.. TV reception has stopped - last year we had both analog and digital channels but we cant pick up any signal .. tried resetting the TV, searched for channels in both analog and digital settings but got nothing ...

I check with couple next door, and they also cant get Spaninsh TV ..

(We are on M2)

Any ideas why ?

Hi

If its the same problem as on M4, it means somebody (usually a satellite contractor) has cut the wires to install a Sat TV connection for one of your neighbours. We are still trying to get it fixed on M4; although in our case some of the original kit was also 'removed', which means it will be expensive. :frown:

Hmmmm.... really haven't been keeping up have we? I mean this is not just a local thing nor a national thing. It is global. It is called Digital Switchover. Huelva, as has been amply advertised for around a year now, is one of the first provinces in Spain to have analogue 'switched off'. I put it in inverted commas because the message that comes up explaining the signal is no longer available is also being delivered through analogue but that is another thing.

TDT is what you want. Either get yourself a TV that is TDT ready and your arial is up to speed (no reason why it shouldn't) or get a plug-in box - ranging from around €25-€50 depending where you go.

Thanks .. i thought this may be the case ..I will buy a set-top box from town...
