Very true. I,ve been in some desperate situations myself and badly injured on one occasion when a whole herd with new born calves went berserk due to the presence of my little dog, which unknowing to me had jumped out of the tractor window into the middle of them to chase a rabbit, then left me to face the music.
As regards the bulls temperaments,I agree with Surrey girl that it is mainly the strange, confusing situation that upsets them most, rather than any intentional hostility.
It should be remembered that these bulls have to be taken good care of until such time as they are deemed ready for the bullring.
As such the presence of humans in close proximity is not unusual for them, and not normally disturbing.
Also these bulls can often be run together in batches from an early age with little or no hostility towards each other.
It is only if a stranger or newcomer is introduced amongst them, that they may on occasions take exception.
IMHO these bulls are semi-domesticated at the very least, and it is normally mainly the repetitive goading and confusing environment that upsets them somewhat.

Very nicely put and thanks for that. What you have said is completely true and they are in fact quite innocent of any intentional spite, malice or aggression, they have no understanding of such concepts. Alas it is only we humans that do. However such misconcepts keeps the money flowing in for the bull breeders and organisers of such shocking spectacles.

What a load of nonsense. You should stop talking about something you clearly know nothing about.

Noone goes to bullfights because they think the bulls are malicious

The bull is goaded along the series of enclosures and naturally it is in a highly aroused state of fear it doesnt charge in expecting a fight, it is not a "fighting" bull as such, (that is just a term to make the whole spectacle sound exciting and titillate the fancy of spectators and bullfighting enthusiasts) what the bull feels is terror you can imagine how confused the bull is when it finds itself in an arena with 100´s of people watching and shouting, the bull is confused and ddisorientated The way it dashes out of the run and into the ring makes people believe it is ready for a "fight". The animal despite its size is simply a terrified animal. When these bulls are in fields they are not dangerous at all you can walk among them of course once they start being stabbed with lances etc the animal becomes even more distressed and simply tries to defend itself. It cant do much else it is trapped in a situation it doesnt want to be in and is no match for people with lances and swords. It is quite frankly a disturbing spectacle and even more disturbing is that it is sanctioned and llegitimized by people who should know better. Little wonder than that the wrong messages are sent out to young people. Bullfighing is not only sadistic it is also pornographic and should be delegated to the history book in a civilised society.
Well said surreygirl - as human beings in the 21st century we should be above
justifying this unnecessary cruelty for entertainment!

I wonder what the people who have cared for them all their lives feel when they know they are destined to be tortured to death
