Trying watching this and not feel sickened!

I don't see a lot of difference myself - they're both rather bloody pursuits neither of which I would like to take part in (although that doesn't necessarily mean that I would prevent others from doing so).

Thats not fun thats just so sick. The prat who is hanging on the young bulls tail. How would he liked it if we swing him round with his di*k see how that feels. And give him a good kicking too.

Foxhunting isn't about controlling foxes. If you want to control them, you shoot and poison them. Foxhunting is all about killing something for pleasure. I have no objection to killing something, but by god you should have a proper justification. Neither bullfighting OR foxhunting is justifiable in the slightest, and neither can claim the slightest part of the moral highground.
Come to think of it, if the bull is eaten afterwards, then it might even stand very slightly above foxhunting.

They are both abhorrent, however bullfighting is legitimized by the fact that millions of ordinary people pay to go and watch from all levels of society and children are exposed to the brutality of it by way of the television which sends out the wrong messages to children when they are exposed to such violence in exactly the same way as violent videos and games do. The meat from the bull is too tough to eat the adrenalin caused by fear toughens the meat in any case they are breed for going into the bull ring not for their meat so the meat from the animal is tough to start off with.
However good news the Mayor is not going to allow animals to be used in fiestas in the future so those poor innocent animals have not died in such an appalling way in vane, bless their poor innocent and totally helpless hearts.

I'm guessing you like animals more than people? Bullied at school were you?
Please get things in perspective. Millions of children die from poor quality drinking water every year. Why not use your energy to help in changing that?

Altho I'm not condoning any blood sports at all, I hate them as well, a vet once told me that we cant give animals human emotions, because they dont think or feel as we do.

Of course I would, but that would be my emotion. I doubt if an animal were to find me with a spear sticking in me it would consider taking me to a doctors! I am not a sadist BTW, as I have already pointed out, I do not condone any blood sports

An animal may not think and feel "emotionally" like a human but they do feel pain. I would dump any Vet that had that attitude.

Have a look at primate behavior then! But in any case as humans we have a "Duty of Care" to the vulnerable, the innocent and the helpless.
