Hi. Everybody,
Can anyone give me advice on the best route from Poole Cherberg to the Costa Blanca in December with three small dogs.
I am worried because we land in Cherberg at 9,00 at night, should we start the trip or find a rest area for part of the night? if so where?
Should we find a dog friendly hotel or rest in the car for a few hours. Any other tips we would appreciate.

On the question of the 'best route' - it is worth looking at
www.viamichelin.com and try out the Itinerary tools. You can do an
Itinerary using a recommended route, or one not using motorways etc etc. It
will give you suggestions togther with Maps of the route and
mileage/timings.
If you found a suitable place near or within a number of miles of Cherbourg,
you could leave at the crack of dawn. My experience of small dogs in French
hostelries is that quite often they can be found at the dining table
receiving titbits.!
The IBIS chain may be worth looking at. They normally accept pets and you
can check out the locations on www.ibishotel.com You can book up a room on
the Internet.

If you found a suitable place near or within a number of miles of Cherbourg,
you could leave at the crack of dawn the next day. Breakfasts in France are
not usually very filling! My experience of small dogs in French hostelries
