Traveling to Spain ...

Hi BE members,

We will be travelling to south of Spain for a 3 weeks house sitting mission and we would like to know if our French driving licences are okay, or should we also have our international driving licences?

Thanks for your comments.

A driving licence issued by an EU member state is valid within any EU country provided it is current and applicable to the type of vehicle you intend to drive in Spain.

Bear in mind also that the max speed limit in Spain is 120kpm as opposed to the French 130. Also there is to be a new max speed limit on other roads of 90kph, which will be introduced between February & March.
