That is a disappointment. 19th of May looks shot then. We have a third relative sick now. Gone into hospital for a major op. We live in difficult times.

There are four LHR BA flights a week into and out of Gibraltar.
I don't know if they are of any use to anyone or whether you could even get to or from here

I read that you can only get into Spain by showing your green residency Card.

A further three British nationals were also carried across the strait and allowed to cross the border into Spain, where they live.

On Sundays BA flight from LHR to GIB the passengers who were traveling to Gibraltar were removed leaving only passengers bound for Spain onboard.
This was because BA suspected the flight would have to be diverted to Malaga due to high winds in Gibraltar.
The passengers for Gibraltar would not have been allowed to disembark in Malaga.
However the flight successfully landed in Gibraltar with the Spanish bound passengers making their way across the frontier to Spain as normal

The Gib passengers were fed, watered and accommodated at LHR ,and rebooked on Mondays flight.
