Which train station in Valencia for Gandia?
We want to fly into Valencia at end of March and get the tram into the city and then a train to Gandia. Can't figure out which train station in Valencia serves Gandia directly. Have tried the Renfe website and looked at trains from Xativa but that involves a change at a station called Silla which I can't find on the Valencia tram map. Is there a direct route from airport via tram to Silla? Or do we have to make the change?

it looks as if there are direct trains from Valencia Nord to Gandía -at least it doesn't show that you have to change anywhere

hopefully someone who knows for sure will confirm one way or the other

Valencia Nord is the station that you need for Gandia. The trains will stop at Silla on route between Valencia and Gandia.

Thanks Lynnxa and Rosemary. Am I right in thinking that the metro stop called Xativa is next to or near Valencia Nord? Cannot find Valencia Nord on the metro map but Google maps seem to show them in the same place.

Its a direct service from Valencia Nord in about 50 mins.
You get the Metro from the airport to Xativa (this is a metro station right by the Renfe station). All airport metro lines from the airport go there.

Thanks to everyone for the information, it is very much appreciated. We've booked the flights and will have our first attempt at Spain By Public Transport just before Easter. Scary stuff!

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at just how straightforward it is ... but let us know what you think.
