Default Toyota Prius with high mileage, any good ?

Hi,

I`m looking to buy a second hand car in Granada and the Toyota Prius has caught my eye.

I am willing to spend between 5k - 6k . If I go for a high mileage one is it wise ? Are they that reliable ? Are parts easy to get ? and could I take it to e.g - Norauto , or any independent for servicing i.e. changing transmission oil, axel oil , pollen filters etc . ?

I am looking at good fuel economy and space.

I encourage any thoughts on whether the Prius would be a good choice and where to buy as not to get ripped off.

Thanks.

OK, so I guess nobody owns a Toyota Prius.

Thanks anyway.

I'm interested to know why you want a Prius?

It`s practical and would mostly be driving in the city with an occasional long trip to the Costa del Sol from Granada .

I picked the Prius on it`s superb economy and quietness not to disrupt the neighbours and this reliability !!!!!!!!

So, I would like people who have this car to please read my initial starting thread and tell me about these high mileage ones . I would be interested too in whether I could service the car in these quick service centers as I do my shopping in Alcampo.

Thanks.

Why not try the T25

Or the T27

Ye Gods those are ugly!!

Why can't they make an electric car look anywhere near normal?

To the OP - you don't get much secondhand for 5 - 6000 in Spain.

Your taking the p..... right ! Those cars need to be scrapped on site. I don`t think - no, I have never seen the T25 or the T27.

Sorry, not my kinda car.

Yes, believe it or not you can get a good second-hand car for 5-6k and I have sourced out a Prius for 4,800 , which is why I wanted an owner of one to tell me alittle more - preferably with high miles.

The Prius does what I want but I was looking for some feedback, obviously there are no Prius owners on this forum so I`LL cast my net out somewhere else.
