Following link has 10 suggestions, although a few of them actually involve spending a little money!

I would add the railway station - beautifully preserved Art Nouveau interior.

The Fallas Museum isn't free but if I remember rightly only cost 2€ admission and was well worth a visit.

I went to the Museo de Bellas Artes which has free admission, OK but not the best I've seen.

I didn't get to go round the Museo Nacional de Ceramica (so much to see, so little time!) but the building it is housed in is absolutely amazing, it's on my agenda for the next visit. I've googled it and admission costs 2.40€.

The science museum at the arts and sciences is holding the first worldwide rice congress from the 29 september til 2 october.

The focus will be of course paella and there will be 24 chefs displaying their versions of it and the public can sample different ones for 4 euros each.

Free entrance.
