Torrevieja. Long Let villas
Hi everyone, my daughter and family are thinking of moving to Alicante on business and as super gran and gramps we will be coming with them so does anyone out there know where we can rent a villa, house or bungelow with a granny flat (2 bed if possible) or similar on a long let within or around the area of Torrevieja. Please feel free to pm me. Many thanks Jackie

Hi and a BIG welcome to BE. So pleased you have joined us and I hope you will stick around.
I've moved your thread from the Welcome Inn to the Spain forum for you, and hopefully some members will be along shortly to give you some pointers.
I hope you and your family have a great time in Torrevieja.

These are some of the local newspapers for expats in the Torrevieja area, all have an online presence and there are letting agents galore.
Costa Blanca News, Round Town News, Coast Rider, Euro Weekly, The Courier etc.
You need to be careful with letting agents, legally they should only charge one months rent in advance, some will ask for a much larger deposit.

As Concierges for the Spanish section of BE we would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let us know if you need any further help.

just to clarify - legally they can charge the equivalent of a month rent as a deposit - then of course you would also pay your rent monthly upfront - so you would initially be parting with the equivalent of 2 months rent
