I wish them joy in our area! They'll need a whole new police force to pull over all the foreign cars around here!

English cars are so easy to spot though

But it could be a real revenue earner for them couldn't it! And they can be afirly sure that the majority of Brit cars are going to be illegals.

The Guardia have been pulling in foreign plates around us for the last two years, We were told a long time ago they were only allowing one months grace if you were living full time.

What does annoy me are the amount of british plates running around with no tax, mot and presumably no insurance.

Its one of my pet hates so I have no sympathy for anyone who deliberately flouts the law, and as you say have no MOT or insurance

Fully in agreement, sometimes I feel like writing on the car in permanent marker, THIS CAR IS ILLEGAL IN SPAIN there are even a couple on our urbanisation. Saw one with a notice from local police on Sunday, saying 'this car appears to be abandoned, if not moved in 2 weeks will be impounded', and is was on UK plates, and it didn't have a tax disc, don't see why they didn't take it away immediately.

In Jaen where I live we used to get stopped for a pastime. Now even with Spanish plates on we still get stared at for having the steering wheel on the wrong side!

Oh well those days are dimming as many more English cars are appearing, that means loads of fun for the mean ol' police and if you don't speak Spanish they get meaner!

Get those cars registered and quick, as said above within 30 days, that also excludes you from having to pay an importation tax (not the rest of the costs).

For most people its too late for that ..... many have been in Spain for years now ..... but maybe they haven't signed on at the Town Hall either!

Don't think that says any different to what has already been said. If you register on the padron, then you have only 30 days, if not registered, then the 6 months applies.

Sorry!! I don't know what I'm doing but this is my first time I wonder if you can help.
We already went through the whole re-registering the car here in Tenerife got it on Spanish plates, but now the car is England and we want to sell it there.
How do we re-re-registered it on UK plates again?
Sounds crazy!!!

Try advertising it in UK emphasizing that it is registered in Spain as there are loads of people planning to drive over and it would save them a lot of hassle.
