Yes see the Spanish government has already put in place special financial support package for the key tourist areas such as the Canary Islands. Almost 4000 jobs directly affected in the hotel sector in Spain

One hotel closed on one of the Canary islands that had an exclusive deal with Cooks, more to come :(

Hard to believe some hotels relied 100% on Thomas Cook.

Hays travel have bought out all the Cook shops and will be taking on many of the old staff but I would guess it will take months to get all the contracts renewed etc and in place for 2020 summer :( Come new year families start looking at summer breaks and there will certainly be less on offer next year.

I would guess Ryanair and Easyjet will be upping prices in the months ahead.
