Default Is there any animosity about brixit

I was wondering if there any animosity about the UK wanting to leave
the EU from the Spanish people towards the British there or ones like use wanting to retire there
next year
Its something that's crossed my mind over the past few weeks

Our neighbors thinks its crazy that the UK wants to leave but have shown no animosity because of it. Mind you I haven't told them that I am in favor of leaving as they really are not that interested. Life is for living not worrying about the EU..

I have not noticed any animosity from Spanish towards us , confusion etc yes but animosity no. I have noticed some animosity from certain British living here toward other British that they know voted out.

I voted leave and cannot believe the amount of rude and horrible comments I've received (even death threats can you believe) from fellow Brits.

The Spanish don't seem to care and are amazed at how long it's taking.

Hola

A friend in Valencia was refused post operative treatment because of Brexit; totally wrong of course because we are still Europeans until the UK leaves whereupon there may (or may not) be a different status of affairs

No animosity.
Just laughter and general bemusement...even the chap in the ITV centre when getting my van checked...saw i was British, said the word "Brexit" and started to laugh...then said "Boris" and laughed even more...i think the van passed due to sympathy...

Since the posters here who voted leave seem perfectly happy to publically reveal their choices perhaps they'd be willing to also share why they made that choice.

I hope the answers are not that you hold - or can obtain - Irish passports!

Its your vote to do with as you wish. I know people that own property in Spain and voted out, I find it odd but I would not fall out with them over it, their vote their choice.

We are the only two that were born in England that live in this city, so no other Immigrants from the U.K. to argue with. Being geographically on a different continent, with a different time zone the Islanders seem to have little or no interest in the EU let alone the U.K. so no animosity from them at all.

Most don’t talk about it, however some see the English in particular as stupid, call themselves “ex-pats” not immigrants and can’t/won’t learn the language.
I find it hard to comprehend the leave voters rationale, and those who live here and voted leave, well it beggars belief.
many Spanish welcome us and appreciate our attempts to integrate.

The EU supports El Hierro’s farming sector by providing up to 85% of the Canary Islands’ total rural development spending on the island, for such initiatives as modernising the cultivation of tropical pineapple.

The Island Council of El Hierro participates in the ENERMAC interregional territorial cooperation project on renewable energies and energy efficiency for sustainable development (the EU funds the project to the tune of EUR 2 000 000, 85% of the total cost).

The council is also taking part in an interregional project called ECO-TUR, which aims to set up a trans-national network of municipal councils to devise a strategy to promote ecotourism and active tourism (which benefits from EUR 2165 in EU funding).

El Hierro has a total of 11 nature reserves – accounting for 57.8% of its territory – which are protected under the European nature conservation network Natura 2000.

Wine from El Hierro has Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status guaranteed under EU rules.

Why? The UK will be paying my pension. The UK will be taking tax. The UK will (probably) be where my children go to live and work.

Why can't I try and make a better future for us and them. (I know remainers don't believe it will be better but that's not my point here). I have a right to vote because it affects me and might affect my family!

if resident in Spain why are you taxed in Uk? I think we’re taking away choices and freedom from our children and grandchildren that we had, and I don’t think that’s fair.
I have not said anything about your right to vote.
it is only my opinion and you have yours
