if hes coming from UK buy tea tree in uk from boots or any similar shop. The bottle is so small, hand luggage wont matter. Then Aloe from mercadonna or your garden

What's with the ? Couriered to where? Courier vans don't find their way into the campo, not that I've ever seen anyway. It would have to be someone in the village with someone guaranteed to be on hand prepared to sign on my behalf. I never said I couldn't be arsed to find the nearest farmacia, of course I know where it is and just what the queues are like and also how small its range of stock is. All I asked for was some advice. As for collecting the mail at the correos? No. They don't do that here. And when they did, the stack of complaints about parcels (particularly parcels.... strange..) that didn't arrive was quite high.

Searcher - thanks. yes that's a possibility.

Today's the day.... got to scout round any farmacias I spot en route to school, airport, etc
Ok time for a big apologetic grovel. I took Missile's latter comment rather badly at least partly because I have no memory for threads/names & hadn't realised he/she had already contributed helpful stuff earlier.
Not strictly true to say I've no sense of humour but maybe it was on strike at the time. Anyway I'm sorry Missile. (!)

Thanks Fiona,

I would like to add my local farmacia is very good. If they do not have what I want they order it and it is usually there for collection next day. I go early, just before my coffee, toast and olive oil -

oh go on then I shall have a brandy too

I swear by tea tree oil and stock up in the UK. It is super for mozzie bites and and fungal infections, and cold sores. Brilliant stuff but you must get the right stuff not the aromatherapy oil.

Time appropriate for update, methinks! Got an aloe vera moisturing lotion in Lidl (!), another aloe vera moisturing lotion at about four times the price from a farmacia, a tea tree essential oil - hope this is the right rather than wrong stuff - and a tea tree concoction from a farmacia but on close inspection it's for dandruff .... just have to hope it's ok on any sensitive skin type stuff.

'Tea Tree' oil is also very good to rub into a dogs coat to deodorize it. I buy a 'Tea Tree' spray from the pet shop here in the U.K. but I think to pluck some of the plant [which grows freely in Spain] and rub the dogs coat with it would work. Perhaps someone would try it? hopefully no more stinky dog!!

It will work IMO.
I often cut a leaf & use it to good effect after I have been bitten by some little bugger.
Cut a nice fat leaf.
Trim the spiky edge off.
Slice into two halves.
Wipe the wet part over the skin.

A leaf (or two) can be kept for days & just the exposed edge will dry (not the inside) & I keep these in the fridge so once applied will give extra cooling.
Cost nothing & grow everywhere.

Maybe it'll work like that on people as well
