tax in spain
 
dear all
could anyone advise on the tax situation in spain.
concerning a eu pension in which is taxed at source.
would i have to pay any additional tax in spain.

If you plan to live in Spain as a resident (or live here more than 183 days per year) you must make a Spanish tax declaracion. All your income must be included if Spanish tax exceeds what you have already paid you will have to pay the difference.

So yes it is possible you will pay here as well all depends on income and allowances for age, expenses etc.

thank you for the reply spainrico.sounds like a lot of places,need to fill out a declaration to get the full information.

If your pension is from the EU COMMISSION then you pay 2% tax at source to the EU but other countries in the EU do not tax that pension.
