I (a private buyer) am planning to buy a second hand car parking space in the Valencia region - as a separate purchase not with an apartment.

I thought I had heard the transmission tax is 18%, but other sources say no it is 7% - or does it depend on the seller? I think my seller is also private ie not a company.

Has anyone actually done this recently and if so what is the correct tax rate?

ITP depends on the community, not the seller. For most communities, on second hand property transactions, it's 7%. The higher figures usually apply to new builds. You would have to check what applies in Valencia.
