Tax Allowance in Spain
Hi , I am an expat UK pensioner over 65 years old, receiving a UK pension which isn't enough to be taxed in the UK. Can anybody tell me what my Spanish Tax allowance is,? I've been told its 6700 euros but there is an allowance on top for the over 65's but can't find out what the allowance is , can anybody enlighten me..
Thank you in advance

Re: Tax Allowance in Spain
Currently tax is about to become due on your 2014 income.
The basic allowance is 5151 plus 918 if over 65. There is an extra allowance of between 2652 and 4080 on a sliding scale depending on your income. So, your minimum allowance will be 8721 but it could be as much 10149.
It all changed this year, but that applies to 2015 income which will have tax paid in 2016. It's a bit more complicated than it was, but on small incomes, it will be more generous.

Thank you as always Fred.
I have a small house that I let out for holidays a few weeks of the year, I will have to declare the income from that as well as my pension, have you any idea how much income I will be allowed to qualify getting a 10149 allowance ?

You just add the net rental income to your pension. Anything over the allowance is taxed at 24.75% up to a taxable income of 17k.
