Default Tamoxifen question

We are moving to Spain shortly in order to pursue the Surinder Singh route to the UK. We are 4 including our two children (7 & 2). My wife needs to take a medicine called Tamoxifen. Does anyone know how much this costs in Spain? We can buy a years' worth here in Thailand: it's 80 baht per (daily) pill, which is a little over 2.1 euros. I will be looking for a job after we get there, so we won't be able to go on Spanish social security immediately. We are considering buying one years' worth for 28,800 baht (about 760 euros). My wife will have a prescription for this. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

You will find in Spain that most 'on prescription' medicines can be obtained at the pharmacy by discussing your needs with the pharmacist- unlike the UK where you will need a script to obtain anything!

My wife who has an underactive thyroid takes Levothyroxine. Our son picks up the script from the doctor once a month, gets it from the pharmacy and then posts it to us.

The vagaries of this mean the latest batch has not arrived from the postman yet! after missing two days she went to the pharmacy, took her old pack with her and for 2€ was given 100 tablets, the doctor in the UK will only give out 30 tablets at a time (one month).

Again the strongest Ibuprofen you can get in the UK is 400mg- 600mg for hospital use only. Over here the pharmacy just give you a 100 tablet box of the 600mg over the counter, with instructions to only take one tablet.
