Surveying CE roads

Has anyone else seen 2 people in hi-vis jackets wandering around CE spray painting markings on the roads and footpaths. If you have do you know what they're doing?

Yes the legacy of Fadesa was a €4.2 m bank guarantee (+ €1m). At last after many promises the mayor has agreed to spend this money which has been in the Ayuntamiento’s bank for at least three years to finish the works of the approved plan so that the roads can be adopted. After many successive work in 40 days promises about 8 weeks ago he employed three firms of local architects to plan the roadworks, sewer works, water works and garden works that he thinks are necessary. Each on a €30,000 retainer all without competition. The blue marks are the visible result of that money. You can see in some places it is going to look like a patchwork quilt. The real problem is around the manholes where the backfill has been of very poor standard and has sunk leaving the manhole lid proud an a danger to tyres. If they just throw a bit of “tarmac” down to level up it will not last a year! I am sure the architects doing the waterworks will be very fully versed in the required quality and regulatory standards so we have no worries on that phase. Similar for the sewer works. The gardening will be a doddle after that and at last the council will adopt the estate of Costa Esuri. 👍👍

So once the council adopt the estate of Costa Esuri, that will be the end of paying EUC? If it is then I guess they will 'load' the IBI up a bit?!

The IBI is already loaded the Cadastral values are above Ayamonte since they are all modern values and Ayamonte has not been revalued for a very long time. So we pay anout twice the amount of like for like Ayamonte properties +EUC. However it does not follow that adoption will end the EUC.

So what would it take for Costa Esuri to qualify to not have to pay EUC? And is there a point at which when conditions are satisfied that the Townhall HAS to stop charging EUC?

Re: Surveying CE roads

Do we want to stop the EUC? Or would it be better to dramatically reduce the annual tax? If the EUC IS CLOSED will the standard of maintenance of green areas be kept up by the Ayuntamiento? I think not better to keep it and every property to pay a much rrduced bill to ensure that over a number of years the whole estate matches the standards achieved on Boulevard. Where we are certainly does not!
