Keep Sunday shopping for we who work all week to provide old people with pensions, provide educations for other peoples sprogs and supply the unemployed with dole. The few of us who qualify for shopping will have a relaxed and quality shopping experience in the company of our own sort. |

Although Spain is still a Catholic country, it has been so corrupted by foreigners that the old rules no longer apply. Where I live it's a 24/7 existence, you can get anything you want at any time.
I don't make use of it personally because I'm a Brit with fixed habits, but I admire the freedom provided to the local population. I did once venture into bar open all night long, years ago, and it was full of prostitutes and Russians. I had a couple of games of chess and got a lift home from a transvestite. It takes all sorts. |

Maybe due to transport issues they too can only shop on weekends. Also who would decide who is calssed as too old to be allowed to shop on Sunday. It reminds me of a place where a relative of ours worked in the UK. The women were told to wear tights, but most objected to wearing them in the summer, and put forward the suggestion that if the women had nice slim, brown legs, then they should be allowed to go without tights. Most seemed to be in agreement until someone asked who would decide wether the legs involved were nice, slim enough and/or brown enough......:rofl::rofl::rofl: This is going down the same route. certain UK DIY shops used to issue over 60's (or was it over 65 ??) and give an extra discount for shopping on a Thursday IIRC.
perhaps the great unwashed could be incentivised to shop only on certain days dependent on their age, employment status etc that sounds like a nice tidy British solution - so what about Spain ?? |
