Re: Spanish wills
A while ago, someone left Felipe de Borbon about 80k in his will (plonker) and also left money to the Kings other grandchildren.
Felipe de B gave his share to a charity, but the money for the grandchildren cannot be donated as they are minors, so untill they reach the age of majority they still have it in trust.
If anyone wants to leave money to Prince Andrew, I dont thing that he would give it away, he would put it to good use.

For those of us who prefer to do things correctly I think that I will take the advice of members of the Spanish legal profession.[/QUOTE]
The big question then is, "How do I find an expert who knows what the legal way really is?"

Re: Spanish wills
It all sounds very simple to me:
In case of sudden death:
1. Hold mirror to mouth and nose of the suspected deceased to check for breathing.
2. Log on to computer an transfer all monies out of the departeds bank account.
3. Take no further action untill transfers have been deposited into your own bank account.
4. Inform the authorities of defunction, and arrange funeral.

If there is sufficient money in your account after the necessary transfers, travel the world for a bit or return to the UK. Inform the Spanish authorities on your return to Spain after four years. If you don’t return, you don’t have to inform anyone.

The best advice on this most difficult topic, apart from (4). The funeral should be arranged quickly, this is a hot country, but do not inform the authorities at this stage.

I would be in hysterics if that wasn't true of many invloved in the legal, financial and taxation profession in Spain. It's not so much that it is their fault - just that nobody in higher authority seems to want to communicate any important changes to them.
