SPANISH OR UK BANK ACCOUNT, WHICH IS BEST FOR MY MONEY
AT THE MOMENT I HAVE ALL MY MONEY IN A SPANISH ACCOUNT, SHOULD I BE SENDING IT BACK TO UK AND KEEP IT IN A STERLING ACCOUNT

Did you know that you can have a sterling account with a Spanish bank? Usually they earn higher interest than the normal accounts too.

Remember authorities in Spain can help themselves to your money held in a Spanish bank without a trial / hearing , it can take months if not years to get it back if you can prove it was not owed.

Keep it in pounds , UK mainland or Gib , transfer once a month what you need to live and pay bill`s .
Remember authorities in Spain can help themselves to your money held in a Spanish bank without a trial / hearing , it can take months if not years to get it back if you can prove it was not owed.

On a serious note, which Spanish banks are good ones? I have no idea Until we move out, on 25th, which are based in our nearest town but would be useful to know which to avoid.

I think this is something to scout out when you arrive, because in my limited experience it seems to vary hugely branch by branch. Get someone helpful and keen to make it all run smoothly for you, life goes so much more easily - the same institution in the next town could be very different.
I have found it difficult to compare bank charges transparently, and compared to the UK you pay charges on a LOT of different things here - eg BACs transfers.
