Cannot believe it but I posted an A4 envelope in our little local post office on Monday lunch time and it arrived in Cornwall this morning (Wednesday).

Must admit that I have always been impressed with post going to UK and disappointed with the time it takes from the UK but this really was amazing. It was very important to my granddaughter that she received the post within the next week or so as she was needing information for a school project. So this weekend I spent a lot of time and used my aging brain cells to complete a child friendly family tree on the computer so that she had more than enough information for her project. My head hurts from the effort but it made me remember people, stories and events so that was good.

Well, here's one for you ...

My bank at number 18 sent me a letter to my mailbox at number 23 - it took 21 days to arrive!!!

So the issue is not only international letters ...

We had a Xmas present sent in Nov 06, and it went via Malaya and Uganda and arrived ,intact and looked liked it had only been posted the day before, in July 07. The weather was so hot my chocolate money was melting!!!!

Anybody have a problem with French Letters? I can never get them to fit in the box!

I posted a cheque to my son in Nottingham monday lunchtime, he had it first post Wednesday,yet I had a bank statement dated October from my bank here in Huescar to my address here in Huescar and that arrived third week of January

I did the same - except for me it was a birthday card - posted monday and arrived Wednesday. Sometimes it takes weeks. And one I posted in October is still lost somewhere. Traspapelada.
