Spanish Pensions

Does anyone know why that since the lockdown they have started paying pensions early?
Since I retired 9 years ago, my Spanish pension has always been paid on the 27th of the month,
occasionally if the 27th fell on a weekend you would get it on the Friday however since the lockdown
they have been paying it on the 21st or 22nd of the month.it's weird ;-)

Re: Spanish Pensions

It's your bank who are advancing the money as many pensioners will be helping their children who have lost their jobs. Most, if not all, banks are doing this. My bank sent me a mail:
Queremos que tu única preocupación ahora sea cuidar de ti y de los tuyos, y por eso, hemos decidido adelantar el pago de la pensión domiciliada en tu cuenta.

Exactly it's your bank and they will reverse the credit on the correct payment day ..La Caixa actually doing it on the 15th of the month.
