Spanish nationality
Has anyone of pension age become a Spanish citizen? Do you still have your UK pension and healthcare? Is it necessary to inform Newcastle?

It's not that easy to get Spanish citizenship unless you have Spanish family connections. You must have been resident for 10 years, speak decent Spanish, show that you are integrated into the community and pass an exam about Spanish history and culture.

But you do not need family connections to apply for citizenship if that is what you really meant....

No, I meant that if, for instance, you had a Spanish parent or spouse, it would be easier.

I understand that point. But poster uses nationality in the title and citizen in the text ...different things. My comment for his/her benefit.
