Spanish mortgage in uk
I have a small mortgage in Spain which I'm just wondering if there are banks in the UK that I could re mortgage with. I'm fairly sure it would be cheaper than what I'm paying currently. Also I would find it a bit easier to keep track of.
Anyone done it and used any of the major banks in the UK?
Thanks

I don't think UK banks will arrange a mortgage on a Spanish property.

Can't see any banks giving a mortgage on Spanish property at the moment

I guess that's true. Probably hard enough getting a Spanish bank to lend

NatWest do or did Spanish mortgages, worth having a look.

If Spanish banks won't lend I can't see UK banks lending especially on a remortgage.

I obviously don't know your circumstances. Are you able to mortgage against a UK property?

We tried to get a mortgage on a Spanish property about 4 or 5 years ago and were told by our UK bank that they wouldnt do it cos if it was ever necessary to repossess, it would be too costly so they didnt/wouldnt do it - eventho it was only a tiddly little mortgage
