Default Spanish Mortgage Help

In Spain at the moment, looking at putting an offer on a villa. Can anyone help with which bank is best to go for and what type of mortgage.

Hi cmorgy,

Try both Solbank and Halifax.

Solbank's valuation company value higher, so you can get a higher mortgage but only 2 years max interest only.

Halifax valuation company value lower, but have upto 15 years interest only mortgages available (depending on age and circumstances, of course).

BBVA is trying to compete and doing some good deals as well, you might want to go and have a chat with them too.

Best of luck
Martha

Solbank do a:

Fixed rate mortgage, max 30 yrs, early repayment 4%
Variable rate, max 30 years, early repayment 1%
Personal mortgage, max 30 yrs, early repayment 1% (can be converted to personal loan to finance whatever you want)
Mixed rate (fixed rate for, say, 4 years)
