Spanish Democracy ?

So some MPs will be fined 600euros if they don't vote in favour of the new Monarchy legislation as directed. This on top of 30,000 euro fines for criticising Spain and the same again for holding a peaceful demonstration without permission. I hasten to add that the latter two were immediately questioned by the court of human rights and hopefully will be rescinded, otherwise I will soon be skint.;) |

Only those MPs from the minority Socialist party (PSOE) would be fined by their own party if they vote in favour of the new monarchy legislation. Not ALL MPs. If the Labour party in Britain fined it's MPs for turning up for Parliament with their trousers on back-to-front, how would this affect democracy ? The answer is - not at all. |
Re: Spanish Democracy ?
They avoided the fine by not turning up and hence couldn't vote.
