gosh I´m shocked!! My Spanish is crap and I totally rely on internet translation tools. I just translated the Spanish into - I have a dirty gun in my troosers!! Eh up? That would maybe work for a man if the girl was an excitable type!! As for short skirt etc maybe that will have to do until i sharpen my language skills. not as much fun though!!

Translated is very difficult, but if you translate both ways and split the difference you may get closer
To talk Spanish you must forget translating from English. If you understand what I mean, thats why kids pick it up quicker than us as we always think English then transfer it to a Spanish word

Internet translation tools are possibly the worst way to learn Spanish. Do yourself a favour and get some Spanish friends. They'll teach you more in 10 minutes than a lifetime in front of a PC will.

I have just found an intercambio partner so i will teach her some english and she can help me out with my spanish yey!! I´ve found it quite hard because people get frustrated with my bad spanish and just end up saying what they mean in English. I find that I need to hear something three times before I understand it!! It is also quite hard to practice in an office environment because people dont seem to talk to each other let alone me a newcomer and an intern!! Well Imaybe I´ll try the shotgun in my pocket line on my poor new intercambio partner, breaking the ice and all that. Ta v much for your help!!

Keep going with the Spanish. It gets easier, I promise. I remember my first three months. OMG :scared:
Repeat this mantra every time you get discouraged:
"Estoy mejorando poco a poco"
