im always in credit Banco Popular charged I think 35 euros a year for having a bank card
Sanander seem to be charging around 15 euros a month to what sees like overseeing my account is that right
please advise

We have 123 accounts and these come with a 12 euro monthly charge. Only way around it is to move 600 a month in and 600 a month out. As well as using the card 3 times a month.
However since the lockdown we have had no charges at all.
Not what you wanted to know,
However could you not give POA to a Spanish solicitor to close the account on your behalf?

Paying the monthly charge is just the beginning, if there are two of you and it is a joint account then it is double the charge.

When first moved to Spain I was advised to use Bankinter. Those ****ers had hidden charges for everything, even charged me for paying INTO the account :-( They seem to have changed their T&Cs now ? https://www.bankinter.com/banca/en/home
