Default Spain used to be a beautiful country once

Spain was a beautiful country once back in the 1950's and 1960's before the advent of package tourism and cheap flights and time shares and holiday homes and property speculation and the greed of property developers developing too many homes at northern european house prices. Now Spain has been ruined and spoilt by too much over development. Take a look at Benidorm to see what used to be a beautiful sleepy fishing village transformed into a hell hole of high rise rubbish and tacky souvenir shops. Torremolinos used to be a beautiful place once until mass tourism took hold and it too looks like a landscape from hell.

Now that spain has entered a twenty year long depression with no end in sight to rising unemployment, rising bankruptcies, rising cost of living and a fast contracting economy, it make you wonder why anybody chooses to live in spain at all.

Sure Spain is stuffed economically but as a visitor and resident it can still be a great place if you have money , miserable if you dont.

I`d guess youve never travelled outside the costas or maybe never even visited Spain or else you would not make such a dumb comment , either that or your a journo/student whos to lazy to do their own research.
