SOCA, Europol, even our Secret Service are picking up these morons from Facebook, they don't even have to bother with tapping their mum's telephone, just a right click on their proud photographs gives them enough information to find them.

had to read that twice - someone from a gang that stole £25k has been picked up in Spain.
even if he was on his own £25k isnt much to live on, a touch of Living on €100/month.
and is €25k all it takes to be Britains No1 nowadays ??

They found 25k on him, he's been making his money by drug dealing. Also found on him were two hand guns and a few rounds. He has, in the past, been pictured holding a pair of Uzi's and the dumb arse has been posting pictures of him during his travels on Twitter and Arsebook so he's not exactly a criminal mastermind eh?

Do you think he had the guns to use as drinks stirrers? Not sure what the issue is, he wasn't even described as THE most wanted, just ONE OF the most wanted and to be fair, if he started shooting up your little piece of heaven you'd be calling for the death penalty. Strange how so many posters take the contrary view on threads isn't it?

It goes to show how easy it is to move between countries nowadays, despite supposedly better border controls. Using the cheap airlines means that your passport will only ever be checked by cheap airline staff who won't notice a photo-shopped one, and on arrival in Spain it won't be checked at all.
As long as you stay away from facebook and twitter, and don't phone homes, you could melt into the crowd. It would be easier if you didn't have any tattoos either.
But vanity is a human trend, and the lure of social networking is strong, hence internet forums.

has he been shooting up anyone's piece of heaven ??
very brave when confronted by Spanish plod and where did he hide the 2 guns and cartridges in those shorts ?
as a Brit he would probably have eventually come to the top of Spain's hit list anyway, especially as drug dealing tends to lead to regular falling out between "friends", especially as one or two ex-sovbloc groups want to expand their businesses
as HBG says, borders are down, people can move without records, but as soon as you start trumpeting on media channels about what yourself then your profile will be seen.

I go with Matt on this one.
The guy is a known criminal and was armed to the teeth.
Who is to know under what circumstances he might have used them ?
Just as well the Spanish cops were able to catch him offguard otherwise who knows how it could have ended ?
Damned if they do and damned if they don't.

I can't understand why ppl are still obsessed with them, especially the Krays, treating them almost as heroes ,must be some very sick folk around.
We've since had the Securitas robbery (biggest cash haul in history).
2 Graff jewelry robberies, many millions involved.
The attempted Dome robbery and numerous other big time hoists going back to the Brinks Matt.
There's just a few I can remember.

it appears that the weapon rounds and drugs were found following the arrest inside the property. To be honest Whether you consider £25000 a significant amount to steal is irrelevant, myself I don't see £25,000 as insignificant, he broke the law. It is also the manner that he and his mate stole that money they had a loaded weapon baseball bat and machete and the guard was injured.
I am sure the Spanish authorities will be pleased to be rid of the likes of him. A good job by the Spanish Police. Mind the way this idiot posted pictures and clearly thought he had got away with it maybe he should change his name to Moron.

any way the value has gone up as hyper-inflation has hit our pockets, and wasn't that very nice gentleman Noye responsible for shooting a policeman (for which he got off) a couple of bullion robberies and then a road rage knife killing that sent him abroad for a while ? ISTR he was shopped by a friend or rival....but he still seems to think he will get out "soon"
Nowadays even our wall to wall media seems to have left us without names/legacies, many are either teenagers showing off to get inside girl's pants/look good to their "gang" or foreign crims, with names we couldn't pronounce if we knew them, who have moved to Spain/UK to escape the heat in their own ex sovbloc country courtesy of EU No Borders with some very nasty habits about them.

He's the 50 person to be caught since Operation Captura was set up by the police through Crimestoppers.
