We have a place on the Benissa Costa a few minutes from Moraira, haven't been for a year, hopeing to get out in a few weeks time but according to our gardeners the place is well busy so i wouldn't worry yourself too much about loads of places being closed, there's plenty of Spanish, Germans, Dutch, French that's taking up the slack!

double jabbed and son has just had his first, not sure if that will be enough under the guidelines. Still on the amber list here and of course Spain has its own restrictions for UK visitors.

Edit: Come to think of it that was a pretty stupid answer, nobody's vaccinating under 12s.

If your son is under 12, there's no need to show a negative test or vaccination certificate/document/app for him on the way into Spain.

Update, the change is for all of Spain but antigen tests are also accepted from Friday as well as PCR and vaccination certificates. MSCBS hasn't been updated yet but the ruling is in the gazette Disposición 10746 del BOE núm. 154 de 2021. I can't find anything about the waiting period between full vaccination and a free ride but I seem to remember it being 2 weeks for 2 jabs and 4 weeks for single jabs.

As someone who travels a lot, I'm fed up paying to stand in a queue to be tested with people who haven't bathed in a week, let alone washed their hands, when I'm following all of the guidance and taking precautions. It's the only time I fear catching COVID. I would be happier with testing on demand, only required if electively unvaccinated or showing symptoms of COVID.
The stats here are interesting, showing the affected age groups and more importantly where the imported cases are coming from: Actualizacion_407_COVID-19.pdf (mscbs.gob.es)
