What's the area like?

Not sure this is for the locker room? Did you mean to post in here the Spanish forum?

Is this a forum about Spain, the Spanish language or what? which thread is more appropriate to the question?

I can't answer your question, since I don't live there, but the "awful" comment often refers to one of two things:

A) It's not British enough.

*or*

B) It's full of Brits.

I think you need to be more specific. Are you talking about the cities, the province? From Murcia to Almeria would be like asking how is the area between Amsterdam & Brussel. Could say flat:sarcasm: but 200 km's is quite a bit.

It likes dark chocolate, romantic dinners and walks in the countryside.

:focus:

Can someone please get back to answering the OP's question instead of talking a load of rubbish, so far there has been only one real answer and that was to ask which area as it's such a diverse part.

In respect of what?
Roads, climate, food, beaches, hospitals, bars, restaurants, villages, quality of life, costs, schools, leisure activities, shopping, attitudes to foreigners, Brexit, gays, bookshops............. give us a clue then.
In essence the area isn't perfect and there is good and bad.

You were prepared to put more effort in than me Mark, by asking for a clue.

I just gave a useless answer instead.
