Default Spain/Portugal bridge closure

We heard a rumour that the Eo1 River Guadiana bridge will be closed soon for repairs.
Has anyone else heard or read about this & has more details

Regards
Chris

It certainly needs maintenance but I doubt they would close it completely.

I would not have thought so either, but who knows ?
The surface certainly could do with relaying
Apparently the article about it was printed in a paper somewhere in the Algarve.
Probable just another fishermans tale

I have read something about it in the Autumn.

It stems from an accident involving a truck a few years ago

You are correct they are going to repair some damage caused by a truck fire underneath the bridge a few years ago. As far as I know it's not being closed but there may be lane closures from time to time
