Well I'm happy to stand corrected if it has been reclassified. The gardener who works for the guy who built our house two years ago called it 'mesem' and I've never seen it in a garden centre anyway. We do have a garden full of it as it spreads so much I spend all lot of time cutting it back or pulling it up. As an aside, you might want to buy a more modern gardening reference book. Rose |

Perhaps you could recommend one? Mine is 'Mediterranean Gardener' by Hugo Latymer (published 2001 but the original edition was 1990) which has been very helpful for giving details of the drought and temperature tolerance of plants. I would love something with more care details and pictures though.
Rose Any decent reference book will have Med type plants in them, and almost any plant that flourishes in med type conditions will thrive in Spain, plants from South Africa, California, Mexico and Western Australia..... |
