I looked on their web site,

Yes it has a back up heater in the position you show on your photo !

Trying to figure out if in that photo that is the immersion heater but just not connected.
It has screws for the wire connections so I'm guessing it is inside the tank at the moment.

the heater is inside the tank there should be some connectors for the wires.

You will have to make some kind of cover, I am not sure if the heater has a built in thermostat to control the maximum temperature ( normally about 60 degrees Celsius )

You will need a double pole switch protected by an rcd to turn it on and off.
