I used to sit next to a boy at school, and you should have seen the SNOW coming off his head everyday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was snow right down to the coast on the Costa Tropical and Costa Almeria in early 2005.

Up here in the mountains we were feet deep in the stuff!

I bet the people who run the Sierra nevada ski slopes were pleased though!

About a month before the snow there was a frost that went right over the Med to North Africa.

Killed all the prickly pears here and all the oranges and lemons.

I first came on this forum a week ago, [well over on the Portuguese side] .
It's great that you all keep in contact this way.

I have a friend who has lived all her life in Malaga, and yes, they have known snow, however, she told me that it was freak weather for them, so you never know.... snow, snow, snow, ho, ho, ho,

Don't know about snow, we looked out the window this morning and there was a blanket of frost over the garden, had to go and dig deep in the cupboard for a vest it's been that cold here to day in Chiclana; I don't think I signed up for this when I came out to live here on the Costa de la Luz.

Everybody going round in coats and warm jackets and trousers here last couple of days. Except, there are always the idiots who ahve come out on holiday, and are going to wear those shorts and t shirts, no matter what. :scared:

Thats us we have now acclimatised to the English Winter around zero every day for a week now 2-3 * colder at night.

Just looked at the Ayamonte web cam and its glorious blue skies and a balmy 18 * mid day about 8 * at night.

Our christmas day is predicted at -1* and foggy but you are set to be 19 *and sunny.

I think if we came out christmas eve I would be game for a swim in a heated outdoor pool on christmas day. Mad dogs and all that.

I went to the carboot on wednesday, like you say, we were all wrapped up in big coats while the lilly white tourists were in their vests and shorts. :eek:

You can tell the tourista, or the people with holiday homes, they are the ones who usually are in T-shirts & shorts, us who live here permanantly wear warm clothes, I am wearing my thermals as well, mind you I am a cold mortal.

I cant believe you guys in sunny spain are having a white Xmas, and Im in "the frozen north" that is Canada and its all green (well brown) here! My back yard ice rink is just a paddling pool for passing wild turkeys at the moment. :(
