Our local Sky guy told us this week that he is buying "boxes" from Majorca for about 128 euros and using these to replay for the last 14 days catch up but there is a 280 euros a year subscription, which sounds like a lot.

Most of the boxes seem to be made by Motorola and have been around for a long time. BT Vision use them and I would not be surprised if they also supply them to Telefonica for their IPTV services. Even Portugal have taken 500000 of them for their services.
These companies flogging them to the expats would have you believe it is something new and unique to them - not so. Buyer beware! |
