Sky plus TV in Gibraltar

Hi everyone,
I am moving to Gibraltar in Nov. My husband is already over there. I know that you can get satelite TV over there but wondered if it was like Sky TV and whether I can bring and use my Sky plus box from the UK. I'm not sure if it would be compatable. Or if there is some sort of thing which is the same for the satelite TV in Europe.
Does anyone know?
Thanks

Re: Sky plus TV in Gibraltar

As long as you have a satellite dish pointing towards the UK TV group of satellites then a Sky+ receiver should be OK.

But reception of some channels may depends on the size of dish you have.

It is unlikely that you would be allowed to put up a dish on any of the flats in Gib.
