Sky - Blue & Yellow Old Cards
Does anyone know if at some stage soon all of these will just be cut off. We keep getting the "insert your new card" message but as we don´t have one we can´t! Joined Sky "officially" giving a UK address and got a new white card but cannot get it activated as the old "illegal" Spanish card is still linked to the box.
It is a right mess as we are now in dispute with our bank over the continuous payment they keep making for the old card and until Sky cut us off we cannot get the new card activated in this box.

Yes, that was what we did when we first joined Sky saying we had bought the bx on ebay. But they said it couldn´t be activated as the old card was still "active".

Re: Sky - Blue & Yellow Old Cards
I am getting lost as to where we are with this one.....
I know it is possible to have a few cards paired to one box...I do this all the time to make sure clientscards are working before transfering them over to their boxes....
so in theory it should be no problem for the fact you wil have 2 cards registered in the same box.
but , it sounds like you have to do have to sort out your payment issues and cancell you old card before doing this...or find another cheap sky box...get your new card activated in there, wait until the other isue has been sorted, and then tranfer your new card to your old box....

Re: Sky - Blue & Yellow Old Cards
I want the full package which at the moment I cannot watch as every few minutes we get the damm message telling us to insert our new card, which we can´t do as we don´t have one and won´t be able to get one. This is why I want Sky to cut us off. Have told the bank that but they won´t stop the payment either.

dont panic
you just ring sky and tell them that the box you have now is your box and you want to 'PAIR' it.you need to give them the version number and the sieral number of the box, found in system details

Re: dont panic
That is what I did originally but they said it couldn´t be done because the existing card was already paired to the box..... I now have a box lent to me by someone and have activated the new white card but now so recording or playback facilities. Tried phoning Sky back and they said they would pair it but nothing happened. She then obviously couldn´t be bothered anymore and said well it could take up to 24 hours! 8 to go!
