Default shopping in gibraltar

Hi There

A friend has suggested that we do a shopping trip to Gibraltar prior to xmas. The drive doesnt sound appealing - just wanted to know if anyone had any information on the shops that are there - or any links where i can find more information? In particular im thinking on toy shops?

Thanks
Katya

I can`t remember a specific toy shop there.
I did a search on the nearest Toys-r-us for you but it got confused with Gibralter, but I am sure there is one closer.

It's a bit like shopping in any small British town. There is a reduced version of BHS, Marks and Spencer, Next, Monsoon, as well as loads of fags and booze shops. Don't expect much selection....Gibraltar is a very small place really and all the shops are quite small.

At the moment I can't think of any toy shops! although I'm sure there must be one.

What do you want? There´s Morrisons, Marks and Spencers, BHS, Next, Monsoon and lots of shops selling cameras, perfume and leather. Don´t know about toy shops because I don´t have children. You could google for gib yellow pages, that might help you.

Being a fellow aberdonian, your probably better going fly-globspan alc-abz return, see the folks and return with a suitcase of xmas pressies and of course Aitkens rowies and mealie puddins. Gib's a bit crap in my opinion and like rock n roll said Elche has a toys r us but theres "nae place like hame"

There is no point at all in doing a long drive to Gib for presents. Most of the shops are over-priced electronics, which only really leaves the small franchise shops like Next, M&S etc as mentioned above.
They are okay, but no better than a Spanish shopping centre where at least it is cheaper and more choice.

I see no sense to take that a long journey for shopping in Gibraltar when there are only a few shops in Gib
