but i dont consider the dog as dangerous!anybody CAN come to my gate with pleasure but if they are daft enough to try and put their hand in the gate having seen how he is and also after reading the warning sign then it can hardly be deemed my fault.
i am a responsible dog owner, iv had many dogs in my life, my garden is secure, the gate is locked, so who in their right mind is going to try and enter? would you?

However, it sounds like the person your dog bit gave an empty threat. In any case, they wouldnt just come and shoot your dog. They would take him away, it would be assesed by a vet and it would be put to sleep if it was though the dog was a danger to the general public. Exactly the same as in the UK.

We're not in the States (thanks God), people have a right not to be attacked by a dog or being shot even if they are on your property.

Anyone who stands over another human being (whatever label is attached to them) who is completely incapacitated and unloads a gun into their back deserves to go to jail.

If they had just raped your wife and children and you held the gun what would you do ?, I would blaze away and do the time.

What about the child burglers who rob so they and their families dont starve to death. Do they deserve to be shot too? What about the child who has grown up in a family of criminals who knows no other way of making a living?
Do they are deserve to die?!

I didn't say they deserve to die. But to be completely frank, I really wouldn't care if they did have a 'work related accident' resulting in death. And the 'child' in question was 16.....more adult than child in my book.
(BTW - "children" stealing to feed their poor starving families sounds more like a Dickens novel than reality! Stealing to feed a drug habit, well that sounds more realistic to me.)

That's an interesting way to slant the facts! You make it sound like the child was a brownie selling cookies or the like!
The 'child' was a burglar (admitted by the other members of his possee) and the other 'children' who were his accomplices him were in their late 20s/early 30s.

People have a right to walk to your front door , you can tell them to iss off afterwards and they have to do so,
Its irisponsible keeping a dangerous animal in a place where it can come in contact with people visiting your house, invited or not, no doubt you will soon find this out in court.

I’ve got a dangerous dog and I have him for a reason. We live in a high crime area and despite all my security measures, we were attacked seven times in three years. The last attack was life-threatening.
We should have left, but we have a beautiful home and decided to fight. Our dangerous dog entered our lives and has saved us for the past seven years, along with some other security measures I was forced to take.
I’m not bothered if he bites burglars, and if I get there in time it might be me that does the time.
