Hi,

Does anyone know where my neighbour can get her sewing machine repaired? She lives near Los Montesinos so anywhere from Orihuela to Torrevieja would be good

This is an old posting but the best way to find a sewing machine repairer is to ask in a shop which sell sewing requirements (merceria). From our experience they all have some telephone numbers for such such services.

Thanks for that, she was given a number for someone in La Marina but has given up trying to contact them as they never answer phone but will keep trying

My wife is a 'sewer' she makes and alters all manner of garments, covers, curtains etc.

We have a couple of industrial sewing machines.

Recently we needed a very specialised needle (a looper) for an over-locker machine. I researched on the internet where I found a number of suppliers in Europe (even through the machine is no longer manufactured).

For a domestic machine I am sure most Mercerias will be able to help you with a number which is current.

There is a very good sewing shop which my wife uses in Rojales, near the museum. I am sure they would be able to help you. If she is really stuck, go to Cotre Ingles in Elche.
