Setting up a 'business' in Spain
Hey guys,
I'm like to go to Spain for a long holiday (3months), my plan is finding a student job there and give free tours on the side to hostel visitors. Do I need to register somewhere for the latter or can I just go there and do it without any problems?
Cheers.

All tours guides in Spain have to be qualified and approved to give tours. But I suppose like most things people are working in the 'grey' areas. I did, some time ago, see web sites promoting this sort of unofficial tours thing, probably still around somewhere......

So you are taking some people on a tour, one falls and is injured.. would you be insured against a claim? This why they have to be registered. What sort of student job, you need to realise that in places like Bournemouth there are hundreds of Spanish students coming over for the summer to work in hotels because there either aren't the jobs in Spain, of the jobs there are are so low paid it just isn't worth them working.
