Selling Property in Spain
I've inherited a property in Spain which is about to be sold. Am being told by solicitor that we have to have a Spanish bank account for the transfer of funds - they won't accept another Euro account or send the funds as a Bankers Draft or Cheque. Does this sound right? If so, can anyone recommend a Spanish bank where I can open an account from the UK & they won't charge the earth to process the funds?

You certainly do NOT need a Spanish bank.

Thanks for the reply. We were told by the solicitor that we needed it under Spanish law for money laundering reasons?
