Default Sat Dish Insurance

A couple of months ago my 1.8 dish went for a walk from the roof terrace of the apartment block. My home cover didn't include it as it's not indoors. The community insurance (after sending out an engineer and then a loss adjuster) decided they would only cover things owned by the community.Anyway I've bought a second hand 1.2 metre and wonder has anybody had experience of getting separate insurance cover for a dish.or a household policy that includes it.

Not answering your question I know Dave, but do I take it that someone stole the dish? 1.8m isn't exactly small!
Didn't anyone see anything or look to the roof when TV signal went off?

People will nick anything if it's not nailed down, in fact they'll nick it even if it is nailed down.
A couple that live up the road from us even had their solar hot water panel and tank nicked off their roof recently.

And thats another thing that does not seem to be covered by your standard insurance. You must have all access to the roof gated and locked.

I'd go the Vergel rastro & buy it back.

Spray paint yr number on the back.

Sorry to hear your loss.
