Bil and I have called a truce. All hostilities have been stopped (maybe only postponed ) We are both like a dog with a bone, stubborn and in his case a narky old git. No long term grudges,life is too short. I still dont agree with you though, bil.

Well, rules is rules. Part of democracy is having to live by the rules.

We were just having a snarling match that doesn't translate to real life anyway.

I think everyone knew it was going round in circles and could have gone on forever. Never the twain shall meet on that subject I think. I did worry that my post had spoilt the fun for everyone, Mitzy... so thanks for taking all the blame :)

Bil and I were having a heated debate about the law and rules. We both aired our views, and had reached a stalemate.

We would have gone over the same ground as there was nothing new to add. Bil and I have mutual respect for each other for standing up for our opinions, but could it have gone on much longer, I dont think so.

The thread was pulled because every society has to have rules.

Every footie game has a referee, every cricket match has an umpire.
The final word has to be with someone. On this forum it is the Moderator, Mitzyboy in this case.
