Not hard to guess the reasoning.

shows O'Leary doesnt have any idea what the problem(s) are, such as

* a large carrier that only has night time slots leaving passengers to arrive at Stansted and its destination airports at times when there are no ongoing travel facilities

* dismantling the noddy train means a gruelling commando course of ups and downs to get to/from a large carriers gates

* the fall in passenger numbers has increased as a large carrier has increased its flights in/out of stansted

According to the Telegraph

"Ryanair to cut down flights from Stansted over landing fee row
Low-cost airline Ryanair has announced it will cut its flights from Stansted Airport by nine per cent over the next year in a row about landing fees."

There is also the threat of job losses to follow.

For my part I am concerned about the service to Valencia as Stansted is convenient for me.

Its a pain in the neck for me. I prefer to fly to Seville, but it means an extra flight from Glasgow to get there. They only go to Malaga from Prestwick. My son who needs to fly to Gothenburg now has to fly all the way down to Stansted as they have knocked off the flight from Edinburgh.
Thats the problem with RA. You find a good flight, and then they change it just when it gets established.

yes they did that in France and Italy, entering into agreements with local airports/councils to get financial "support" for landing, then having an arguement about it, leaving those who had bought houses without a means of travel.

most other airlines seem to be willing to maintain loyalty with their customers.

Customer loyalty? I'd be more inclined to believe that €29 tickets, every seat filled, and €20 average "extras" charge is more likely RyanAir's chief concern.

True, they have a business model that's proven and works very well for them.

People buying property, be it in Spain or any other country should never take it for granted that the status quo will continue indefinitely and try as far as possible to consider what could happen not only with regard to airlines and alternative forms of travel, but politically as well.

Some countries and destinations are obviously a much safer bet than others, but none can be guaranteed indefinitely.
I gave due consideration to the alternative of road travel when I made my last move and so far it's worked out quite well.

That's funny, I used to be able to fly from London to Valencia with BA/Iberia but not anymore.

Well they can please themselves as far as I am concerned. I retire this summer so I won't need to fly there any more. I will be there
