Ryanair boarding cards
Just going back to UK for a quick visit to see family. I printed off my R.A. boarding pass and it is not A4 but quarter size. Page devided into quarters with dotted lines around segments. Other parts contain info on bag size, arrival times and hotels. Do R.A. now use these smaller sizes? Can't find any info on their web site.

Re: Ryanair boarding cards
I was surprised to see the layout had changed when I printed our boarding passes at the weekend. I presume they've done it to make the folded-up version easier to handle and put in a pocket or wallet. When the staff at the gate used to check the full-page version, it was a pain trying to hold the full page open while they checkedn and marked it with a pen. But as you say, no obvious mention of the change on their web site.

Re: Ryanair boarding cards
Thanks Ken. Of course there is always the advert for booking.com. Can't see that being added for free.

Re: Ryanair boarding cards
Perhaps when you fold it then it will fit neatly in your passport at the picture page making checking easier and quicker.

Re: Ryanair boarding cards
When travelling to Alicante for 10 days in Oct I was surprised to see I could only check in 7 days in advance (unless I wanted to pay for allocated seating). This is clearly yet another Ryanair policy to generate revenue but not wanting to have to find an Internet Cafe with printing facilities in SP I downloaded and used the Ryanair App. From within the App you can both check in and download a copy of your BP which can be scanned from the phone at the airport. Worked for me (both ways) on a Blackberry Z10 but I did take the precaution of carrying a spare battery ;)

Re: Ryanair boarding cards
We checked in the homeward flight sitting in the airport awaiting the outward flight, free wifi. All had to do then was print out the paperwork whilst out there, cost 1 euro.

Re: Ryanair boarding cards
Don't know about the new boarding card formats, but you could always try downloading the All my passes app - no more printing necessary then, your boarding pass is just scanned on your digital device at the gate.

The Ryanair app just applies to Ryanair I think the one quoted here applies to any transport or other facility that uses self generated access document.

Re: Ryanair boarding cards
I got one of the new RA boarding cards still just as bad as the original so I downloaded the Ryan air app it stores all your flight info and boarding card and you just scan your phone over there reader a lot simpler

Thanks for your info. Boarding card worked just fine. As for apps, Although we use modern technology, my wife and I must be one of the few people left in the world who don't go around with a mobile welded to our hands!
